Bellini

You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches.

- Dita Von Teese

Bellini

The Bellini was invented by Giuseppe Cipriani somewhere between 1930-1950 in Harrys Bar, Venice. It was named, because of its pink colour, after a 15th-century painting by Italian Renaissance painter Giovanni Bellini.

The Bellini is made with a 2:1 ratio. Variations include mandarin juice to make a Puccini, strawberry Puree for a Rossini or pomegranate juice for a Tintoretto. All named after composers and painters.
